End Violence Against Children Set

The United Nations Postal Service has issued six new stamps with postage values of 49c, $1.20, 1.00chf, 1.40chf, 0.68 Euro and 0.80 Euro named "End Violence Against Children" on the 20th of August 2015. Its hard to believe in this modern day that acts of violence against children is truly a problem. The United Nations has issued these stamps to alert the public that children are being abuse; and that as a citizen of your country it is your duty to look out for this type of criminal behavior and report it to the proper authorities. It is also the responsibility of governments to pass laws that guard against violence against children. The UNICEF says:

Just because you can't see violence, it doesn't mean it isn't there. We must make the invisible, visible. This was the underlying message as UNICEF launched in July 2013 a global initiative to end violence against children.
The stamp designs point to the types of violence against children that are going on now:
  • 49c - Armed Violence reduction
  • $1.20 - Sexual violence against children
  • 1.00chf - Child marriage
  • $1.40chf - Child trafficking
  • 0.68 Euro - Gender based violence
  • 0.80 Euro - Child labor
