World Food Day

United Nations Postal Service has issued 6 new stamps with postage values of $0.49, $1.15, 1.00 CHF, 1.50 CHF, 0.68 Euro and 0.80 Euro named "World Food Day" on October 16, 2017. Each of the stamps feature various types of food in a colorful design. Each year the Food and Agricultural Organization(FAO) of the UN celebrates World Food Day on 16 October to commemorate the founding of the Organization in 1945. Over 150 events are held all over the world on this day to promote worldwide awareness for the people without enough food. This year slogan for World Food Day 2017 is "Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development". This day is a chance for us to show our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goal(SDG)2. It is a program to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030.

World Food Day stamps can be purchase as assorted Sets of 2, Set of 6, Sheets of 20 and assorted FDCs. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm with a stamp perforation size of 14 x 13 1/2 using the 2cm reference. They were be printed by Royal Joh. Enschede (The Netherlands) Printing using the offset lithography plus hexachrome printing process. Total of each printed is:
$0.49 - 5,500 sheets
$1.15 - 5,500 sheets
1.00 CHF - 4000 sheets
1.50 CHF - 4,000 sheets
0.80 Euro - 4,500 sheets
1.70 Euro - 4,500 sheets
