United Nations will issue six new sheets of 6 stamps with postage values of 49c, $1.15, 1.00CHF, 1.50CHF, 0.68 Euro and 0.80 Euro named "International Dance 2017" on March 3rd, 2017. This is the second set in the dance series. The first was issued in 2016 to commemorate International Dance Day. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) says that dance is both an art form and a method of communication in cultures around the world. New York stamp sheets depict the Polynesian and Native American Tribal Dances painted by Pascal Campion a French artist living in America. Geneva stamp sheets depict the Quadrille and Japanese Fan Dances painted by Jean Francois Martin a French artish living in Paris; and the Vienna stamp sheets depict the Samba and Ballet dances painted by Victo Ngai a New York based illustrator from Hong Kong.

International Dance 2017 stamps can be purchase as Singles, Sheets of 6, and FDCs. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm and the size of each sheet is 140mm x 170mm. Stamp perforation size is 13 x 13 1/4 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Carter Security Printing(France) using the offset lithography plus hexachrome printing process. Quantity of each printed will be:

  • 49c - 22,000 sheets
  • $1.15 - 22,000 sheets
  • 1.00CHF - 22,000 sheets
  • 1.50CHF - 22,000 sheets
  • 0.68 Euro - 28,000 sheets
  • 0.80 Euro - 28,000 sheets
