Russia Tower Issues

The Switzerland/Russian Postal Services have issued 4 new stamps that have postage values of 1.00 CHF, 1.40 CHF, 15p and 20p named "Joint Issue Switzerland and Russia" on the 21st of May 2014. Each country has issued a stamp for the famous towers located in Switzerland and Russia. The Switzerland tower is Zytglogge Tower located in Berne and the Russian Tower is Kazansky located in Moscow. Relationship between Switzerland and Russia has been very good and is on the increase. For nearly 200 years the two countries have had ties except during World War II when relation were briefly severed, but restored after the war. To celebrate this milestone anniversary of these ties, the two countries have join together to publish this joint stamp issue.

"Joint issue Switzerland and Russia" stamps can be purchase as singles, Sheets of 8, Blocks of 4, and assorted FDCs. The size of each stamp is 37mm x 37mm with a perforation size of 13 x 13 1/4. The stamps were printed by Joh. Enschede, Haarlem, Netherlands using the four color Offset printing process with white 110gms matted gummed stamp paper.
