3D Printing Revolution

The San Marino Postal Service has issued three new stamps that have postage values of 0.10, 0.80 and 2.15 Euros named "3D Printing Revolution" on the 10th of March 2015. These three new stamp issues are a example of the 3D printing revolution. Created by an advanced technology 3D printer that produces tridimensional objects made up of plastic or some other material from a computer 3D model. The 0.10 Euro stamp represents the production of food; and the 0.80 stamp represents more complex objects; and the 2.10 Euros stamp represents a human being.

"3D Printing Revolution" stamps can be purchased as a set of 3 or FDC. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm with a perforation size of 13.25 x 13 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Carter Security Printing using the offset 4 color printing process. For security the stamp will be tagged with invisible yellow fluorescent ink. Quantity of each printed:

  • 0.10 Euro: 70,000
  • 0.80 Euro: 50,000
  • 2.15 Euros: 50,000
