Royal Mail 500 Stamp Set of 6

The Royal Mail (Great Britain) Postal Service will issue six new stamps with postage values of 1st class and 1.52 pounds named "Royal Mail 500" on the 17th of February 2016. These stamp mark the quincentenary (500th Anniversary) of Royal Mail Postal Service with stamps that depict the people, achievements and innovation of the postal service through the years. The six stamps depict:

  • Sir Brian Tuke, Master of the Posts
  • Packet ship
  • Penfold pillar box
  • River post
  • Mail coach
  • Medway Mail Center
Background images of three stamps depict letters written by Sir Brian Tuke, Anthony Trollope and John Palmer. Also included with this issue is a Miniature sheet that depicts four posters created by Edward McKnight Kauffer, Hans Unger, Hans Schleger and Harry Stevens with a multiple poster background.
