Seaside Architecture Stamp Set

The Royal Mail Postal Service has issued six new stamps in a set and a miniature sheet with 4 new stamps that have postage values of 1st Class, 97p and 1.28 pounds named "Seaside Architecture" on the 18th of September 2014. This six stamps set and the four stamps in the miniature sheet depict 10 seaside sites listed in the following tables below. The six stamp set sites are:

  • Eastbourne Bandstand, 1st, top left
  • Tinside Lido, Plymouth, 1st, top right
  • Bangor Pier, 97p, middle left
  • Southwood Lighthouse, 97p, middle right
  • Blackpool Pleasure Beach, 1.28 pounds, bottom left
  • Bexhill on Sea shelter, 1.28 pounds, bottom right
The four stamps on the miniature sheet are:
  • Llandudno Pier, 1st, top left
  • Dunoon Pier, 1.28 pounds, top right
  • Brighton Pier, 1.28 pounds, bottom left
  • Worthing Pier, 1st, bottom right
The background image on the miniature sheet depicts the Southend pier which is the longest in Britain.

"Seaside Architecture" stamps can be purchase as a Set of 6, Miniature sheet with 4 stamps, Presentation Packs, Sheets of 25/50, and a special issue of the Southwood lighthouse stamp and coin shown below. The size of each stamp is 41mm x 30mm with a perforation size of 14.5 x 14 using the 2cm reference; and the size of the Miniature Sheet is 115mm x 89mm with the same stamp size and perforation as the set. The stamps were printed by International Security Printers and the miniature sheet was printed by Joh. Enschede. Both printers used the lithography printing process with PVA gum.
