Sustainable Fish

The Royal Mail Postal Service has issued 10 new stamps that have a postage value of 1st class named "Sustainable Fish" on the 5th of June 2014. Beautifully painted by David Miller these 10 stamps feature five sustainable fish species and five threatened species. The stamps also feature the name and status of each specie. The stamp names of the sustainable species and the stamp names of the threatened species are listed in the tables below with the position of each stamp in the image above:

Sustainable Fish Species:

  • Herring (Top right)
  • Red Gurnard (3rd from top left)
  • Dab (2nd from top left
  • Pouting (Top left)
  • Cornish Sardine (2nd for top right)
Threatened Fish Species:
  • Common Skate (3rd from top right)
  • Spiny Dogfish (Bottom right)
  • Wolffish (4th from top left)
  • Sturgeon (Bottom left)
  • Conger Eel (4th from top right)

"Sustainable Fish" stamps can be purchase as a set of 10, Sheets of 25/50, and Presentation Pack. The size of each stamp is 37mm x 35mm with a perforation size of 14.5 using the 2cm reference. The stamps were printed by International Security Printers using the Lithography printing process with PVA gum paper.
