2018 New Zealand in Space

New Zealand Postal Service has issued a new sheet of 6 stamps that have postage values of $1, $2, $2.20, $2.70, $3 and $3.30 named "2018 New Zealand in Space" on January 25th, 2018. These stamps are being issued to celebrate Rocket Lab launched of the Electron rocket into orbit for the first time on the 21st of January 2018. The Electron rocket is a 17 meter high carbon composite launch vehicle that can carry payloads of up to 225 kiligrams. This launch carried two weather satellites and one Earth observation satellite. Also launched with the Electron rocket, was the Humanity Star which will rotate the Earth and be visible to the naked eye. The stamps on the sheet focus on New Zealands space program.

2018 New Zealand in Space stamps can be purchase as a sheet of 6. The size of each stamp is 40mm x 30mm with a perforation size of 13.33 x 13.6 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Collectables and Solutions Centre using four color printing process with Tullis Russell 104gsm gummed stamp paper.
