Lunar New Year: Year of the Monkey

The Jersey Post will issue a new stamp and a miniature sheet of 1 with postage values of 47 Pence and 1 Pound named "Lunar New Year: Year of the Monkey" on the 5th of January 2016. Its a new year and the Jersey post celebrates the new year with a new Lunar New Year stamp issue "Year of the Monkey". This issue is the first in a new series by the Jersey Post. The Lunar New Year is a Chinese tradition that is celebrated each year with a new animal symbol. These symbols change each year with a cycle of 12 different animals that are identified on the Ancient Zodiac. This year we will celebrate the new year with are Chinese friends and wish them a "Kung Hei Fat Choy" Happy New Year!

Lunar New Year: Year of the Monkey stamp can be purchase as a single, Miniature sheet, Sheet of 10, Presentation pack and FDCs. The size of the stamp is 36mm x 36mm. It will be printed by Cartor Security Printing, France using the four color offset lithography printing method with gold metallic ink and varnish.
