Urban Street Art

Ireland Postal Service will issue 4 new stamps with a postage value of 1 Euro named "Urban Street Art" on September 21th, 2017. Each of the stamps depict street art done by four famous artists. They are Conor Harrington, James Earley, Maser and Fin DAC. Each of these artists is well know throughout the international community and is presently very active in their work. Urban street art is visual art in public locations usually on abandoned buildings. It is used by artists to communicate their work directly with the public without the need for gallery space. The most common forms of street art you will see in cities today are stencil graffiti, Wheatpasted poster art and spray painted graffiti.

Urban Street Art stamps can be purchase as strip of 4, Sheet of 16, Prestige Booklet, and FDC. The size of each stamp is 29.8mm x 40.6mm with a stamp perforation size of 14.1 x 14.3 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Cartor Security Printing using the lithography printing process with PVA Gum. A total of 208,000 strips of 4 will be printed.
