Ireland Post has issued 2 new stamps in a se-tenant format with a postage value of N Euro named "Emoji" on March 16th, 2017. These stamps depict the many different Emoji faces that express an emotional message or idea. The stamps also have the words "Don't Worry and Be Happy" in English and Irish (Na Bi Buartha and Bi Sona). Emoji were created in Japan on the mobile phone system in the late 1990. These new Emoji stamps should prove popular with people of all ages as well as collectors worldwide.

Emoji stamps can be purchase as a se-tenant set of 2, Sheets of 16 and FDCs. The size of each stamp is 36mm x 36mm with a Stamp perforation size is 13.3 x 13.3 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Cartor Security Printing using the lithography printing process with Tullis Russell 102gsm PVA gummed paper.
