It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visit San Marino, Norway and Ireland. Each of their 2015 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

San Marino issued three new Christmas stamps named "Christmas 2015" on October 23rd, 2015. Design by Chiara Dattola these stamp depict three different Christmas scenes. The first 0.70 Euro depict a dove with a olive branch, The second 0.80 Euro depict two snowmen and the third 0.95 Euro depict the center of San Marino city with a Christmas tree inside a glass ball from which a rainbow radiates. These stamps can be purchase as a set of 3, and assorted FDCs. The size of each stamp is 40.64mm x 29.79mm with a perforation size of 14 x 15 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by BDT International Security using the four color offset printing process. A total of 40,200 sets were printed

Norway issued two new stamps named "Christmas 2015" on 13th of November 2015. Designed by Kristin Granli these new stamps feature two very popular Christmas items. A decorated Christmas Tree with ornaments and lighted candles; and a Christmas Parcel wrap in Christmas paper tied with a ribbon. These stamps can be purchased as singles and assorted FDCs. They were printed by Joh. Enschede Security Print using the offset printing method.

Ireland has issued a new Christmas stamp named "Christmas 2015" on November 5th, 2015. This stamp was designed by Vermillion Design in Dublin. It features Madonna and Child that was painted by artist Marco Palmezzano. This stamp can be purchased in a booklet of 26 stamps or a collector strip of 2, and FDC's. The size of each stamp is 25mm x 30mm with a perforation size of 13 x 13 using the 2cm reference. It was printed by Carter Security Printing using the Lithography printing method.
