It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visited Switzerland, Jersey and Aland postal services. Each of their 2014 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

Switzerland issued four new Christmas stamps named "Christmas 2014" on November 13th, 2014. Design by Dominique Rossier these stamps feature four different Christmas scenes: (85) "Nativity, there was no room at the inn", (100) "Oh yes, Santa Claus does exist", (140) "When will Christmas finally come" and (190) "The aroma of cinnamon tells you its Christmas". The size of each stamp is 33mm x 28mm. They were printed by Cater Security Printing La Loupe, France using the 4 color offset printing process.

Jersey issued eight new stamps named "The Story of Father Christmas" on 27th of November 2014. The stamps depict Santa Claus in a variety of Christmas scenes: (41)Santa listens to a child Christmas want list; (46)Santa carries a Christmas tree; (51)Santa wraps Christmas presents; (56)Santa prepares to go down the chimney to deliver presents; (62)Santa relaxes after a hard days work; (70)Santa shows an empty Christmas bag at one of his deliveries; (91)Santa and an elf getting ready for Christmas; and (1.10 pound)Santa puts Christmas presents around a Christmas Tree. These stamps were printed using the 4 color offset printing process.

Aland issued a new Christmas stamp named "Emmas Little Christmas Dream" on October 9th, 2014. Designed by Emelie Hage this stamp depicts a fairy tale image of Little Christmas. It features a parent and her child at the Jan Karlsgarden Christmas fair surrounded by white snow fall, a Christmas Tree with lights, and outside stands with Christmas decorations and food. The size of the stamp is 40mm x 30mm. It was printed by Cartor Security Printing using the 4 color Offset Printing process.
