It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visited San Marino, Iceland and Finland postal services. Each of their 2014 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

San Marino issued three new Christmas stamps named "Christmas 2014" on October 22nd, 2014. Design by Stefano Morri these stamps feature three different Christmas scenes: Announcement, Nativity and Three Kings. These Christmas stamps are being issued in sheets of 20 and have postage values of 0.50, 0.70, and 0.85 Euro. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm with a 13 x 13 1/4 perforation using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Cater Security Print using the 4 color offset printing process. A total run of 50,000 sets were printed

Iceland issued three new stamps named "Christmas 2014" on 11th of November 2014. Designed by Hlynur Olafsson these stamps feature three different Christmas scenes: Nativity of Jesus, Adoration of the Magi and Annunciation of Mary. The drawings on each stamp come from artists in medieval times that were in Icelandic manuscripts found in The Book of Drawings. The stamps are being issued in sheets of 10 and their postage values are rated in grams for domestic and international mail. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 36mm. They were printed by Osterreihische Staatsdruckerei using the Offset Litho + Thermongraphy printing process.

Finland issued two new Christmas stamps named "Christmas 2014" on November 23rd 2014. These stamps were design by Kristina Segercrantz and Olavi Hankimo. They feature two different Christmas fairy tale pictures that depict an elf girl and a Christmas reindeer enjoying their evening under candlelight, and another elf ringing a large Christmas bell on Christmas morning.
