It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visited United States, Ireland and Sweden postal services. Each of their 2014 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

United States Postal Service(USPS)) issued four new Christmas stamps named "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" on November 6th, 2014. Design by Greg Breeding these stamps feature four different characters that are a part of the popular animated Christmas TV show Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The hour-long show went on to become not only the longest running and highest rated Christmas special in TV history, but also a holiday tradition. The four stamps feature Rudolph the Reindeer, Santa, Abominable Snow Monster, and Hermey the elf. These Christmas stamps are being issued in a book of 20 and have a forever first class one ounce postage value. Sorry! no specification were available.

Ireland issued three new stamps named "Christmas 2014" on 6th of November 2014. Designed by Vermillion Design these stamps feature two stain glass windows that were created by Harry Clarke; and a third stamp that depicts a young girl playing the part of an angel in a childrens nativity play. Their postage values are 1 Euro and 0.68 Euro. The size of the stained glass windows stamps is 56mm x 25mm with a perforation of 11 x 11.25 using the 2cm reference; and the size of the angel stamp is 25mm x 30mm with a perforation size of 13 x 13 using the 2cm reference. Glass windows stamps were printed with HP Indigo high resolution digital print by Label Art Ltd.; and the angel stamp were printed by Walsall Security Print using the lithography printing process. The stamps are available for sale in assorted formats.

Sweden issued five new Christmas stamps named "Christmas Sweets 2014" in November of 2014. These stamps were design by Molly Bark and feature five different Christmas tasty sweet treats. Their postage value is Domestic first class. No other information is available.
