Weather Wonders

The Canada Postal Service has issued five new stamps that have postage values of permanent (domestic) named "Weather Wonders" on the 18th of June 2015. These stamps are being issued to showcase the variety of weather we experience and some special weather condition that causes spectacular meteorological marvels. For example, the top left stamp above depicts the beauty of a tree that is cover with frost while the top right stamp depicts the beauty of a hazy early morning fog. Middle left stamp above depicts a double rainbow that was created by a rain shower; and the middle right stamp depicts a violent shower of lightning. Bottom stamp depicts sun dogs that were created by ice crystals in the air. Each of these weather wonders images were selected by Canada senior climatologist David Phillips. He commented that its a marvel what the beauty and violence of weather in Canada can produce.
