Dinos of Canada Booklet Stamps

The Canada Postal Service has issued five new stamps that have a postage value of permanent domestic rate named "Dinos of Canada" on the 13th of April 2015. These five stamps feature dinosaurs chosen with the help of the Canadian Museum of Nature. Unearthed from the Canadian bedrock these prehistoric dinosaurs once chomped and stomped their way through the Canadian homeland. Their existence on Earth continues to amazed the young and old. The five dinosaurs depicted on the stamps above are listed as follows:

  • Tyrannosaurus rex (Top left)
  • Tylosaurus pembinensis (Top right)
  • Chasmosaurus belli (Middle)
  • Euoplocephalus tutus (Bottom left)
  • Ornithomimus edmontonicus (Bottom right)

"Dinos of Canada" stamps can be purchased as a booklet of 10, Souvenir Sheet of 5, Uncut press sheet with 8 booklet panes, and FDC. The size of each stamp is different with the first stamp size 28.5mm x 33.5mm, Second 28.5mm x 29.5mm, Third 28.5mm x 28.5mm, Forth 31mm x 28.5mm, and Fifth 28.5mm x 29.5mm. The Souvenir sheet size is 159mm x 65mm; and the Uncut press sheet size is 608mm x 358mm. They were printed by Lowe Martin using the Lithography 4 color printing process. The Souvenir sheet and the Uncut press sheet are emboss. A quantity of 500,000 booklets, 200,000 Souvenir Sheets, 5000 uncut press sheets and 15,000 First day Cover were printed.
