One Planet One Ocean Mini-sheets

The United Nations Postal Service has issued six new mini-sheets that have 4 stamps each with postage values of 44c, 98c, 0.85F.s, 1.00F.s., 0.55 Euro and 0.65 Euro named "One Planet One Ocean" on the 6th of May 2010. These mini-sheets are being issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Oceanographic Commission. An organization that was founded in 1960 to promote international cooperation and to coordinate programmes in research, services and capacity-building in our oceans. From this knowledge gained they hope to provide better management of our ocean resources, and sustainable development and protection of the marine environment. Currently there are 135 member States involved in the decision-making processes to protect our oceans.

"One Planet One Ocean" stamps can be purchased as mini-sheets. The size of each stamp is 50mm x 35mm; and the size of the souvenir sheet is 180mm x 110mm with a stamp perforation size of 14 x 13 1/4 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Joh.Enschede Stamps Security Printing, Netherlands using the offset printing process. A total number of mini sheets printed will be:

  • 44 Cents - 65,000
  • 98 Cents -65,000
  • F.s.0.85 - 65,000
  • F.s.1.00 - 65,000
  • 0.55 Euro - 75,000
  • 0.65 Euro - 75,000
