Pro Juventute

Switzerland Postal Service has issued four new semi-postal stamps that have postage values of 85+40 CHF and 100+50 CHF named "Pro Juventute" on the 11th of November 2007. These 2007 pro-juventute stamp designs were selected from a contest that began last January at three workshops. More than 100 school children guided by Ted Scapa took part. The design theme selected for the stamp contest was "Holiday pass/Holiday Fun". After all the children designs were entered. The job to select the winners was done by two representatives of the Swiss Post, two from pro juventute, and Ted Scapa. The three lucky winners were Christine Fischer for her "Camping" design, Morena Rufatti for her "Sunshine" design and Jonathan Balest for his "Mountains" design. "Pro Juventute" stamps can be purchased as a single set, Sheet of 20, Blocks of four set, Folder, Collection sheet, Stamp booklet or FDC's. The size of the stamps is 33mm x 38mm with a serpentine cut perforation. . Sheet size is 186mm x 156mm. They will be printed by Tesa Bandfix AG, Bergdietikon using the offset printing process with 220gms paper.
