Neighbors Developing Together, Sweden-Norway

Sweden Postal Service will issue two new stamps on a mini-sheet that have a postage value of 10 Kr each named "Neighbors Developing Together, Sweden-Norway" on the 27th of May 2005. The stamps depict a beautiful arched bridge built between Sweden and Norway that will open June 10, 2005. The bridge is named Svinesund and is built over the Ide Fjord. At one time in history Sweden and Norway were a union. But on October 26, 1905, King Oscar II recognized Norway as an independent state and the union was formally dissolved.

"Neighbors Developing Together, Sweden-Norway" stamps can be purchased as a minisheet of 2, Collectors sheet, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 44 x 31.25mm and the size of the mini-sheet is 106 x 93.75mm. The stamps will be printed by Sweden Post Stamps, Stockholm using the 1 Color recess, 4 color Offset printing process.
