Reach your hand for a rebirth

The San Marino Postal Service has issued a new mini-sheet that has eight stamps with a postage value of 1 Euro named "Reach your hand for a rebirth" on the 30th of August 2012. This mini-sheet stamp has been made with the help of the San Marino Secretariat of State of Finance and was planned to give a concrete help to the Emilian people who were struck by the earthquake of last May. There were 150,000 sets issued on the 30th of August and the net proceeds will be given to the Emilian people for the rebuilding of the damage area. The text on the stamp says " Lets reach our hands, give new blood to Emilian lands"; and it also depicts a plant that grows near the tower of Finale Emilia that has leaves like fingers that lifted a rebuilding brick reaching for the sky. This issue is born by an idea of the Director of Azienda Autonoma Filatelia e Numismatica, Marino Manuzzi and the President Pier Orazio Pignatta. There aim is to create an union between philatelic art and solidarity. Rebuilding needs active men, generous hands and solidarity. All of us at Stamp Master Album salute all who contributed toward this worthy cause.

"Reach your hand for a rebirth" stamps can be purchase as singles, Mini-sheets of 8, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 40mm x 30mm with a perforation size of 14 x 14 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by OeSD using the four color offset printing process.
