Monet, Cezanne, Renoir and Other Stories of Painting in France

The San Marino Postal Service has issued five new stamps that have postage values of 0.10, 0.50, 0.85, 1.00 and 2.50 Euros named "Monet, Cezanne, Renoir and the other stories of Painting in France" on the 8th of February 2011. These stamps depict 5 different paintings done by great master painters. Each is described below:

  • The 0.10 Euro value is the "Self Portrait with a Beret" by Cezanne
  • The 0.50 Euro value is the "Horse Racing at Longchamp" by Degas
  • The 0.85 Euro value is the "View from the Artist's Window, Eragny" by Pissarro.
  • The 1.00 Euro value is the "Flower Beds at Vetheuil" by Monet
  • The 2.50 Euro value is the "Jacques Bergeret as a Child" by Renoir.

"Monet, Cezanne, Renoir and the other stories of Painting in France" stamps can be purchased as a set of 5, Sheets of 20 or 5 sets, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 35mm x 35mm with a stamp perforation of 13 1/4 x 13 1/4 using the 2cm reference. They have been printed by Joh. Enschede using the offset printing process. A total of 70,000 sets in sheets of 20 will be printed.
