75th Edition of the Road Cycling World Championships

San Marino Postal Service has issued 2 new stamps that have postage values of 0,85 and 3,25 Euro named "75th Edition of the Road Cycling World Championships" on the 22nd of August 2008. These stamps depict two images from the cycling world. On the 0,85 Euro stamp the artists depicts a chronometer and a cyclist at the peak of his effort during a time trial competition. On the 3,25 Euro stamp the artist represented the most important moment during a road trial: the cyclist at the finishing line raising his arms in triumph.
The Road Cycling World Championships will be held in Varese this year with three different routes. One route will be a road trial circuit for the elite, women's and under 23 categories. Two other time trial circuits for professionals, women and the under 23.

"75th Edition of the Road Cycling World Championships" stamps can be purchased as a set, Sheets of 12, or FDC. The size of the stamps is 30mm x 40mm with a perforation size of 13 1/4 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Cartor Security Printers using the Offset printing method. A quantity of 100,008 sets will be printed.
