Rocks of Liberty

San Marino and Slovakia Postal Service have issued 2 new stamps with a postage value of 0.65 Euro named "Rocks of Liberty" on the 24th of August 2007. These new stamps are being issued in the name of freedom by San Marino and Slovakia Postal Services. This joint issue unites the most ancient Republic in the world (San Marino) with the most recent (Slovakia) in Europe. The stamp on the left above depicts the Tower of San Marino called Rocca or Guaita; and the stamp on the right depicts a castle in Slovakia called Orava. The Souvenir sheet shown below depicts two blocks of four and the coat of arms for each country

"Rocks of Liberty" stamps can be purchased in a Souvenir Sheet of 8. The size of each stamp is 31mm x 45mm and the size of the Souvenir Sheet is 106mm x 108mm. Both stamps have a perforation of 13 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Phil@Post using the mixed printing methods of Heliogravure and Offset printing. A total of 100,000 sheet will be printed.
