125th Anniversary of the Founding of the International Gymnastics Federation

San Marino Postal Service has issued two new stamps that have postage values of 0.15 and 2.80 Euros named "125th Anniversary of the Founding of the International Gymnastics Federation" on the 21st of August 2006. The stamps are being issued to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the International Gymnastic Federation which was created by Nicolas J. Cuperus in 1881. The current president of the Gymnastics Federation at this time is the Italian, Bruno Grandi who has held the post since 1996. Presently the organization is made up of 129 affiliate organization from around the world. Their official disciplines include: General Gymnastics, Men's Artistic Gymnastics, Women's Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Elastic Trampoline Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics.

"125th Anniversary of the Founding of the International Gymnastics Federation" can be purchased as a set of 2. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm with a perforation size of 13 x 13 per 2cm reference. The stamps will be printed by Cartor Security Printing using the Offset Printing process. The quantity printed will be 200,000 of the 0.15 Euro and 110,000 of the 2.80 Euro.
