ROYAL MAIL POSTAL SERVICE 2001 ISSUE

The Royal Mail Postal Service has issued some cool new Christmas stamps on the 6th of November 2001. The five stamp set feature the delightful robin celebrating the Christmas season. The postage values of the stamps is 27 pence or 1st class rate, 19 pence or 2nd class rate, 45 pence, 65 pence and 37 pence or E for European-rate.

The Christmas stamps can be purchase as a single set, Presentation Pack, First Day Cover, booklets or Airletters. Airletter is a way for you to send your Yuletide greetings to relatives and friends overseas. The size of each stamps is 37 x 35 mm. The printing process for the stamps is Gravure in sheets of 50. The stamps are self adhesive. And were kiss die-cut elliptical to look like a regular stamp that will measure 14 x 14.5 perforation.
