Norway Marine Life VI

Norway Postal Service has issued four new stamps that have a postage value of 7.00 NOK each named "Norway Marine Life VI" on the 21st of September 2007. This is the sixth issue in the series of Norway Marine Life since January 2nd 2004. These stamps feature 4 more marine life creatures that live in and around Norway. Each is describe as follows:

  • The Pink Shrimp (Top Left) - lives in shallow waters at depths of 5 to 15 meters. It is found throughout the Atlantic and anywhere along the coast of Norway.
  • The European Lobster (Top Right) - lives on the hard bottoms about 40 meters from the surface. It is found in Northern Norway and is generally most active at night.
  • The Edible Brown Crab (Botton left) - can be found on the surface and down to the depths of several hundred Meters. Can be found mostly in Northern Norway.
  • The Squat Lobster (Bottom right) - is very common in the Atlantic Ocean and can be found all alone the Noway coast. It lives in shallow waters and deep waters down to about 600 meters.

"Marine Life in Norway VI" stamps can be purchased as a set of 4, Presentation Pack, Collector's set, Collector's sheet, or FDC. They will be printed by Royal Joh. Enschede, Netherlands using the Photogravure printing process.
