75 Years of the RNZAF

The New Zealand Postal Service will issue a new stamp sheet of 15 stamps that have a postage value of 60c named "75 Years of the RNZAF" on the 15th of March 2012. These new stamps depict different aspect of the RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force). They feature the beginning of the New Zealand Air Force to its future; and portrayed a broad range of services such as involvement in World War II, search and rescue, and local emergencies such as floods and earthquakes. Today they are mainly involve in local emergencies and provide support to the police. They also are involve in international peacekeeping operations and work with the United Nations to help bring peace to worn torn countries. To defend New Zealand the RNZAF will continue to evolve with new or upgraded aircraft. The introduction of new technology and ongoing investment in its people will ensure that the RNZAF continues to serve and defend New Zealand in the years to come.

"75 Years of the RNZAF" stamps can be purchase as a sheet of 15, Miniature Sheet Booklet of 36 pages shown below, and various FDCs. The size of the each stamp is 52mm x 37.5mm with a perforation size of 14.4 x 14.6 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed using the offset lithography printing method with Tullis Russell 104gms gummed stamp paper. The stamps with be on sale until 14 March 2013 or until stocks run out.
