Royal Wedding

The New Zealand Postal Service will issue two new stamps that have a postage value of $2.40 named "Royal Wedding" on the 23rd of March 2011. These stamps depict William and Catherine in both formal pose and an informal embrace with a stunning metallic gold border. The stamps are also featured in a miniature sheet and two first day covers that include Prince William's Coat of Arms.
The Royal wedding will take place at the 1000 year old Westminster Abbey-the coronation church since 1066 and the venue for 15 Royal weddings, including that of Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh. Once married, the couple will return to Buckingham Palace where the Queen will host a reception, followed by a private dinner hosted by The Prince of Wales.

"Royal Wedding" stamps can be purchased as se-tenant set, Mini-sheet, Sheets of 20, Various 4 Blocks, or FDC's. The size of each stamp is 32.75mm x 52mm with a stamp perforation of 14.4 x 14.6 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Southern Color Print Ltd. using the offset lithography printing process with Tullis Russell 104gsm gummed stamp paper.
