Jersey Birdlife III

The Jersey Postal Service has issued 6 new stamps with postage values of 37, 42, 45, 55, 61, and 80p named "Jersey Birdlife III" on the 4th of August 2009. This is the 3rd set issued in this series. The stamps feature some of the birds that produce some of the most beautiful bird songs. Each of the song birds is listed below:

  • Dunnock (Prunella modularis) 37p
  • Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) 42p
  • Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) 45p
  • Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla) 55p
  • Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) 61p
  • Robin (Erithacus rubecula) 80p

"Jersey Birdlife III" can be purchased as a set of 6, Sheets of 10, Souvenir Miniature Sheet, Souvenir Sheetlet, Presentation Pack and FDC Envelopes. The size of the stamps is about 40mm x 30mm. They will be printed by Cartor Security printing, France using the 4 Color offset lithography printing process.
