Ireland Postal Service 2003 Issue

Christmas 2003

The Ireland Postal Service will issue 4 new stamps that have postage values of 48, 48, 50, and 57 Cents named "Christmas" on the 10th of November 2003. These new stamps will feature famous Christmas paintings by Olwyen Whelan. Each of the stamps shown above and their postage value is listed as follows:

  • Nativity 48 cents (Top left)
  • Flight into Egypt 48 Cents (top right)
  • The Angel 50 cents (bottom left)
  • Three Kings 57 cents (bottom right)

The "Christmas 2003" stamps can be purchased as a single set, Sheets of 16, Booklet (self-adhesive), or FDC. The size of the 50c & 57c is 29.80mm x 40.64mm, and the size of the 48c (Flight into Egypt) is 36mm x 36mm, and the size of the 48c (The Nativity) booklet stamp is 30mm x 25mm. Each stamp will have a perforation size of 14 x 15. The stamps will be printed by Irish Security Stamp Printing Ltd using the Multicolor Lithography printing process with phosphor tagging.
