Fauna and Flora - Dragonflies

The Ireland Postal Service has issued 3 new stamps and a mini-sheet that have postage values of 0.55, 0.82, and 0.95 Euro named "Fauna and Flora - Dragonflies" on the 16th of October 2009. Two of the stamps make up a 0.55 Euro se-tenant set and the 0.82 Euro stamp is a single; the mini-sheet has a 0.95 Euro stamp. Each of the stamps and mini-sheet depicts a different dragonfly and are listed below:

  • Irish Bluet - 0.55 Euro (Left above)
  • Large Red Damselfy - 0.55 Euro (Right above)
  • Four Spotted Chaser - 0.82 Euro
  • Banded Demoiselle - 0.95 Euro Mini-sheet

"Fauna and Flora - Dragonflies" stamps can be purchased as a set of 3, Se-tenant set of 2, Minisheet, Sheets of 16 and FDC's. The size of the 0.55 Euro se-tenant stamps are 29.79mm x 40.64mm and the size of the 0.82 Euro single stamp is 40.64mm x 29.79mm. Mini-sheet size was not available. Perforation size of the 0.55 Euro Se-tenant set is 14 x 15 using the 2cm reference and the perforation size of the 0.82 Euro single stamp is 15 x 14 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Irish Security Stamp Printing Ltd. using the Lithography printing process.
