Christmas Stamps 2004

It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year the Iceland Postal Service has issued two new stamps that have postage values of 45 & 65 ISK named "Christmas Stamps 2004" on the 4th of November 2004. The two stamps depict a reindeer and the ptarmigan which are symbols of winter and Icelandic Christmas. In Iceland, Christmas has always been a time of togetherness, joy and relaxation. Just like here in the United States of America. A time when we send friends and acquaintances greetings, give gifts and receive them. The Iceland Postal Service wishes all our customers a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

"Christmas Stamps 2004" stamps can be purchased in a set of 2, Sheets of 10, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 28mm x 45mm. They will be printed by Cartor Security Printing using the Offset printing process.
