The Life of Beatrix Potter

The Guernsey Postal Service has issued six new Alderney stamps that have a postage value of 43p, 53p, 55p, 63p, 71p and 79p named "The Life of Beatrix Potter" on the 31st of July 2013. Guernsey Post and Alderney have issued these stamps to honor Beatrix Potter for her work as a author of children books. She wrote and illustrated many wonderful books with animal characters that were full of life. To name a few of her works there is: Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Jemima Puddleduck. Each of the stamp designs depicts an animal with Beatrix either walking, working or standing. Designer Jay Almer of The Potting Shed leaves its up to our imagination to determine what Beatrix Potter is doing in each of the designs.

"The Life of Beatrix Potter" stamps can be purchase as a set of 6, Souvenir Sheet, Presentation Pack, and Assorted FDCs. The size of each stamp is 45mm x 28mm with a stamp perforation of 13.25 x 13.5 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Carter Security Printing using the Offset Lithography printing process with 110gsm PVA adhesive paper.
