Abstract Guernsey II

The Guernsey Postal Service has issued six new stamps that have postage values that are determined by item size named "Abstract Guernsey II" on the 18th of March 2010. These stamps depict various places found in Guernsey; and are the first issues of the pricing in proportion system whereby postage is determined by an items dimensions. The rates are Bailiwick Rate(Guernsey rate), UK Rate, Europe Rate, and ROW Rate(Rest of world) Each of the stamps is described below:

  • Port de la Jument in Sark (Top Left), GY Large.
  • Slipway at Havelet Bay (Top Center), UK Large
  • Fort Grey (Top Right), EUR Rate
  • West Coast of Guernsey (Bottom Left), UK Large
  • The Dog and Lion Rocks (Bottom Center), GY Large
  • Castle Cornet (Bottom Right), ROW

"Abstract Guernsey II" stamps can be purchased as a set of 6, Various Booklets, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 30.43mm x 35mm with a perforation of 13.25 x 13.25 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Carter Security Printers using the offset Lithography printing process using 102gsm(Gummed) and 196gsm(self adhesive) paper.
