Sherlock Holmes

The Guersney Alderney Postal Service has issued 6 new stamps that have postage values of 36p, 43p, 51p, 54p, 56p, and 71p named "Sherlock Holmes" on the 29th of October 2009. Each of the stamps depicts Sir Arthur Conan Doyle famous creation of Sherlock Holmes characters. These stamps were printed using pioneering printing and have hidden images that can only be seen with a special lens that is provided with the mystery pack. The mystery pack is a philatelic first which includes the story of Sherlock holmes and the Curious Case of Alderney Bull. By studying the story and stamp pictures you can crack the secret code and beat Holmes to work out "Whodunnit".

"Sherlock Holmes" stamps can be purchased as set of 6, Sheets of 10, Mystery pack, Presentation pack and FDC. The size of the stamps is 28mm x 45mm with a Perforation size of 13.5 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Cartor Security Printers using the Offset Lithography printing process with 110gsm PVA adhesive paper.
