Coral and Anemones

Guernsey Postal Service has issued twelve new definitives stamps that have postage values of 1 to 10 Pence, and 1 to 2 Pounds named "Coral and Anemones" on the 2nd of November 2006. These new stamps depict the most colorful sea corals and anemones found in the clear waters around Alderney. The coral or anemones depicted on each stamp are:

  • Burrowing Anemone 1p
  • Colonial Anemone 2p
  • Jewel Anemones 3p
  • Elegant Anemone 4p
  • Red fingers 5p
  • Plumose Anemone 6p
  • Fan Coral 7p
  • Jewel Anemones 8p
  • Anemone 9p
  • Snakelocks Anemone 10p
  • Beadlet Anemone 1 pound
  • Sunset Cup-Coral 2 pound

"Coral and Anemones" stamps can be purchased as a Set of 12, Presentation Pack, Sheets of 2 x 25, Gutter pair set, or FDC. The size of each pence stamp is 25.5mm x 25mm and the size of each pound stamp is 30mm x 25mm. Perforation size for the pence stamps is 14 x 13.25 and perforation size for the pound stamps is 12.75 x 13.25 using the 2cm reference . They will be printed by Joh. Enschede using the Offset Lithography Printing process with 110gsm unwatermarked PVA adhesive paper.
