It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visit Liechtenstein, Finland and Jersey. Each of their 2011 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

Liechtenstein issued three new Christmas stamps named "Christmas 2011" on November 14, 2011. These three Christmas stamps were designed by Stephanie Keiser and have postage values of 0.85, 1.00 and 1.40 CHF. Their face design for this years Christmas stamps is base on cribs. The 0.85 CHF stamp depicts the Crib at the parish church of St. Gallus, Triesen, and the 1.00 CHF stamp depicts the St. Florin parish church Vaduz crib, and the 1.40 CHF depicts the Parish church of the Assumption Bendern crib. These stamps can be purchased as a set of 3, Sheets of 20, Block of 4 Set or FDC. The size of the 0.85 stamp is 32.5mm x 32.5mm with a perforation size of 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 using the 2cm reference, and the size of the 1.00 stamp is 38mm x 32mm with a perforations size of 12 1/2 x 12 using the 2cm reference, and the size of the 1.40 stamp is 32mm x 38mm with a perforation size of 12 x 12 1/2 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by FM Raster Gutenberg AG, Schaan using the Offset printing process with 110gms paper.

Finland has issued two new stamps named "Christmas 2011" on November 7th, 2011. The stamps were designed by Kaarina Toivanen and have postage values of 0.55 Euro and 0.60 Euro. They feature a girl elf who likes to swing on straw mobile while laughing and enjoying herself, and a boy elf who has two lambs in his lap. The girl elf is refer to as the Swinging Christmas elf and the boy elf is refer to as Cuddly Christmas elf. Each stamp can be purchased a single, or both on a FDC. Jersey issued six new stamps named "Christmas Tree Decoration" on November 8th, 2011. The stamps was design by Colleen Corlett and feature six different Christmas tree decorations that consist of Christmas lights, gloss baubles, golden bells and chains, jolly Santa and angels. Postage values of each stamp is 37p, 42p, 49p, 50p, 79p, and 86p. They can be purchased in a set of 6, Sheets of 10, Presentation Pack, and FDC. Sorry! no specification were available.
