It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visit Guernsey, New Zealand and Sweden. Each of their 2011 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

Guernsey issued seven new Christmas stamps named "A Winter Wonderland" on October 27, 2011. These seven Christmas stamps were designed by The Potting Shed and have postage values of 31p, 36p, 47p, 48p, 52p, 61p and 65p. Each of the stamp images were selected from a photographic competition that was held earlier this year. They can be purchased as a set of 7, Presentation Pack or FDC. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 41.5mm with a perforation size of 13.33 x 13.33 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Southern Color Press using the Offset Lithography printing process with 104gms paper.

New Zealand has issued five new stamps named "Christmas 2011" on November 2nd, 2011. The five stamps have postage values of 60c, $1.20, $1.90, $2.40 and $2.90. The stamps feature five illustrated gummed stamps that highlight key moments in the Nativity story. They can be purchased as singles, Sheets of 25, Various blocks, or FDCs. The size of each stamp is 35mm x 35mm with a perforation size of 14.5 x 14.5 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Southern Colour Print Ltd. using the offset lithography printing process with 104gms gummed paper.

Sweden issued four new stamps named "Christmas Flowers" on November 17th, 2011. The stamps was design by Molly Barks and feature four different Christmas flowers. They are the Christmas Cactus, Poinsettia, Christmas Rose, and Amaryllis. They can be purchased in a booklet of 10, Collectors Sheet and FDC. Sorry! no specification were available.
