It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visit San Marino, Great Britain and Norway. Each of their 2011 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

San Marino issued a new Christmas stamp mini-sheet with four stamps named "Christmas 2011" on October 11, 2011. The mini-sheet was designed by Cristian Ceccaroni and it has four stamps with postage values of 0.85, 1.00, 1.50, and 2.50 Euros. Each of the stamps depicts a colorful nativity scene that is sure to add to the joys of this holiday seasons. These stamps can be purchased as a mini-sheet only. The size of the mini-sheet is 105mm x 137mm, and the size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm. The perforation size of each stamp is 14 x 13.5 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Joh. Enschede using the Offset printing process. A total of 70,000 mini-sheets will be printed.

Great Britain has issued seven new stamps named "Christmas 2011" on November 8th, 2011. The seven stamps have postage values of 2nd and 1st class, 68p, 1.10 and 1.65 pounds. These stamps are being issued to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James bible. They each feature an image inspired by the accounts of the Nativity in the Gospels of Luke and Matthew. The Miniature Sheet contains all seven stamps set within a decorative border featuring an angel following a star and the quote, And the angel said unto them, Fear not for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great Joy, which shall be to all people, from Luke 2:10. These stamps can be purchased as a set of 7, Mini-sheet, Booklets, Presentation Pack, Generic sheets, or FDCs. Sorry! No specification are available.

Norway issued two new stamps named "Christmas 2011" on November 11th, 2011. The stamps was design by Kristin Granli and feature two children from old Christmas postcards. Each stamp has a postage value of A-domestic. The stamp on the left above feature a boy holding a Christmas letter, and the stamp on the right above feature a girl holding a Christmas present. They can be purchased as singles, or FDC; and were printed by Joh. Enschede Security Print using the offset printing process.
