It's that time again when postal services around the world issue their new Christmas Stamps. This year we decided to cover two or three different countries a week in our newsletter until Christmas. This week we visit Finland, Sweden and New Zealand. Each of their 2010 Christmas stamp issues are shown above and some information about them is listed below.

Finland issued two new Christmas stamps named "Santa Claus and his reindeer" on November 5, 2010. These stamps were designed by Tommi Vallisto and feature a close up view of Santa Claus and one of his reindeer They can be purchased as a se-tenant pair, Sheet of 20, or first day cover (FDC). The size of each stamp is 34.5mm x 24.5mm.

Sweden issued five new stamps named "Snow Crystals" on November 18th 2010. These stamps depict actual photographs of snow flakes taken by photographer Kenneth G. Libbrecht. They can be purchased as a Booklet of 5, Collectors sheet, or FDC They will be printed using the Recess and offset printing process.

New Zealand issued five new stamps named "Christmas 2010" on October 20th, 2010. These stamps were design by Hamish Thompson and feature images of stamps from popular Christmas themes of the last half century. The size of each stamp is 30mm x 40mm with a perforation size of 14. They can be purchased as a set of 5, Various blocks, Various booklets, Sheets of 50, or FDC. They will be printed by Southern Color Print using the offset lithography printing process.
