Children Literature: Stella

The Canada Postal Service has issued two new stamps that have a postage value of permanent domestic rate named "Childrens Literature: Stella" on the 5th of July 2013. This is the second issued in the series on childrens literature. The first issued was Franklin the Turtle back in May of 2012. In this issue Stella, her brother Sam and their pet dog Fred go on many adventures around the world. Each of their adventures are always new and exciting bringing the reader into their world. The creator of Stella is Marie Louise Gay a well known creator of childrens books who has won many awards which include the Governor Generals Literary Award. These stamps are sure to attract their readers and fans and bring aboard a few new ones.

"Childrens Literature: Stella" stamps can be purchase in a booklet of 10, Souvenir Sheet, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 32mm x 32mm with a simulated stamp perforation. The size of the Souvenir sheet is 150mm x 110mm with stamp perforation of 13+ using the 2cm reference. They were printed by Lowe-Martin. using the Lithography 7 colors printing process with Tullis Russell paper. Quantity of booklets printed is 4 million and the quantity of souvenir sheets printed is 200,000.
