Endangered Species Canada Postal Service has issued four new stamps that have a postage value of 52 Cents eached named "Endangered Species" on the 1st of October 2007. This is the second issue in a three year series. The first issue included animals that live on land. This issue has animals that live in the water. These stamps are being issued to raise awareness about the endangered species in Canada; and to recognize how important it is to Preserve our planet resources and its inhabitants. We can look to these animals as an indicator of how we're doing on the environmental front. The four sea creatures depicted on these stamps are:
"Endangered Species" stamps can be purchased in a Booklet of 8, Souvenir Sheet, or FDC. The size of the booklet stamp is 50.5mm x 27mm with a kiss cut perforation; and the size of the Souvenir sheet is 160mm x 75mm with a 13+ perforation using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Lowe-Martin using the Lithography printing process with Tullis Russell stamp paper. A quantity of 3,606,400 booklet and 350,000 Souvenir sheets will be printed.
