2004 Olympic Summer Games
Canada Postal Service has issued two new stamps with postage values of 49 cents each named "2004 Olympic Summer Games" on the 28th of July 2004. The stamps celebrate the 2004 Summer Games of the XXVIII Olympiad which will be held in Athens, Greece. Athens is believed to be the place where the original ancient games started in 776 B.C. "2004 Olympic Summer Games" stamps can be purchased as a Mint Pane, Corner Blocks or Set of Corner Blocks, or FDC's. The size of each stamp is 56mm x 26mm with a perforation size of 13+. The stamps will be printed by Canadian Bank Note using the 5 Color Lithography printing process with Tullis Russell Coated paper and P.V.A gum. A quantity of 4,000,000 will be printed.
