The Australia Postal Service has issued 3 new stamps that have postage values of 45, 50, and 90 cents named "Australian Christmas 2003" on the 31st of October 2003. The stamps depict visualizations of the traditional Christmas stories that many of us have heard throughout our lives. This year designs use brilliant colors that create a joyous set of stamps that are uniquely Australian in character. Each of the stamp illustrations are explain as follows:

• 45 Cents stamp illustrate Mary and baby Jesus with two angels.
• 50 Cents stamp illustrate the three wise men.
• 90 Cents stamp illustrate an angel appearing to shepherds and their sheep.

"Australian Christmas 2003" stamps can be purchased as a single set, Stamp pack, Gutter strip of 10, Booklet of 20 or FDC. Each stamp size is 26 mm x 37.5 mm with a perforation size of 15.60 x 13.86. The stamps will be printed by SNP Sprint using the Lithography printing process with Tullis Russell paper for gummed stamps and C100 paper for self-adhesive stamps.
