Australia Age of Dinosaurs Set of 6

The Australia Postal Service has issued six new stamps that have a postage value of 60 cents named "Australia Age of Dinosaurs" on the 24th of September 2013. This issue depicts six dinosaurs that live in Australia during the Cretaceous period that ranges from 145 million years to 65 million years ago. Five of the animals depicted on the stamps are dinosaurs and the fifth is an amphibian. This issue was developed with the assistance of paleontologists at the Museum of Victoria and expert illustrator James Gurney. Each of the dinosaurs on the stamps is listed in the table below:

  • Top Left is the Koolasuchus (Amphibian)
  • Top 2nd from left is the Serendipaceratops
  • Top 3rd from left is the Diamantinasurus
  • Top 4th from left is the Timimus
  • Bottom left is the Qantassaurus
  • Bottom right is the Australovenator

"Australia Age of Dinosaurs" stamps can be purchase as a set of 6, Booklets of 10 or 20, Gutters of 10, Prestige Booklet, Presentation Pack and FDCs. The assorted sizes of the stamps is 30mm x 50mm, 26mm x 37.5mm, 50mm x 30mm, 25mm x 30mm, 30mm x 25mm with each having a perforation size of 14.6 x 13.86 using the 2cm reference. Minisheet size is 172mm x 80mm. They were printed by Mckellar Renown using the Lithography printing method with Tullis Russell paper.
