National Gallery of Australia: Landscapes

The Australian Postal Service has issued a new se-tenant strip of 5 stamps that have a postage value of 60 cents named "National Gallery of Australia: Landscapes" on the 19th of March 2013. This is the second stamp issue in the gallery series. It features five different landscapes paintings from the National Gallery of Australia. Each of the landscapes depicted on the stamps, year painted and the artists who painted it is listed in the table below:

  • Eugene von Guerards: Dandenong Ranges from Beleura, 1870
  • Hans Heysen: In the Flinders - Far North, 1951
  • Authur Streeton: Land of the Golden Fleece, 1926
  • John Glover: Mr Robinsons house on the Derwent, Van Diemens Land, 1838
  • Nicholas Chevalier: Studley Park at Sunrise, 1861

"National Gallery of Australia: Landscapes" stamps can be purchase as a se-tenant strip of 5, Booklet of 10, Stamp pack, Gutter Strip of 10 or FDC. The size of the each stamp is 26 x 37.5mm with a perforation size of 14.6 x 13.86 using the 2cm reference. They were printed by McKellar Renown using the Lithography printing method with Tullis Russell paper.
