Long Weekend

The Australia Postal Service will issue 5 new stamps that have a postage value of 60 cents named "Long Weekend" on the 22nd of September 2010. These new stamps will be in a se-tenant strip of 5 configuration. This issue is a continuation of the Through the Year series with began in 2006. This issue in the series focuses on the various activities undertaken by Australians on long weekends. Each of the stamps is dated beginning with 1950's through 1990's and is listed in the table below:

  • Long Weekend 1950s at the beach (Top)
  • Long Weekend 1960s Camping (Second Row Left)
  • Long Weekend 1970s Surfing (Second Row Right)
  • Long Weekend 1980s Fishing (Bottom Left)
  • Long Weekend 1990s Skiing (Bottom Right)

"Long Weekend" stamps can be purchased as a Strip of 5, Modules of 50, Booklet of 10, Roll of 100, Gutter of 10, Stamp Pack, 5 Stamps from roll, Prestige booklet and FDC. The size of the stamps is 37.5mm x 26mm with a stamp perforation of 13.86 x 14.6 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by McKellar Renown using the Lithography printing Process with Tullis Russell Gum and B100, B90 self adhesive paper.
