Australian Botanic Gardens Australia Postal Service has issued five new stamps that have a postage value of 50 Cents each, named "Australian Botanic Gardens" on the 12th of September 2007. These stamps feature the five major botanic gardens in Australia. Botanic Gardens are the second most popular event in Australia (second to cinema). They are visited by millions each year. They provide the public with the beauty of plants through different seasons and the diversity of specific garden types. Each Botanic Garden depicted on this stamp issue is described as follows:
"Australian Botanic Gardens" stamps can be purchased as a set of 5, Prestige booklet, Stamp pack, Sheets of 50, Gutter strip of 10, or FDC's. The size of the stamps is 37.5mm x 26mm with a perforation of 13.86 x 14.6 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by SEP Sprint using the Lithography printing process with Tullis Russell paper. |
